Jacob Meldgaard has been Chief Executive Officer of TORM A/S since April 2010.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Danish Shipping and a member of the Board of Danish Ship Finance.

Mr Meldgaard was previously Executive Vice President of the Danish shipping company NORDEN, and prior to that held various positions with J. Lauritzen and A.P. Moller-Maersk.  He has more than 30 years of shipping experience.

Mr Meldgaard is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programmes at Harvard and Wharton Business Schools in the USA, the Young Managers Programme at INSEAD, France, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in International Trade from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.
