Mahesh Subramanian is a Marine Engineer with 12 years sailing experience on different types of merchant vessels. His first shore assignment was in the domain of training of cadets and seafarers which lasted for over a decade. During this phase he was involved in installation of BWMS training facilities in India and Philippines and conducted maker approved training courses for sea and shore staff. He is presently working as the ESG and Projects head of Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hong Kong and is also responsible for effective implementation of various environmental regulations in the company, especially the Ballast Water Convention. He is a part of Indian delegation to MEPC as an industry expert and is actively involved in the Ballast Water agenda discussions.
