Melissande is a Policy Adviser at the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) in the Shipping Policy team.

Melissande provides comprehensive support to ICS’ Shipping Policy Committee and leads ICS’ engagement with the authorities of the Panama Canal, Suez Canal and Turkish Straits.

As part of her role, Melissande monitors and advises ICS members and wider stakeholders on key global policy developments relating to competition, market access and sustainability, which impact on global shipping and maritime trade.

Melissande holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Prior to joining ICS, Melissande gained a broad range of valuable experience working at the OECD and for the Swiss government.
