Loh Chun How was appointed Executive Director of the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) on 18 November 2024. As Executive Director of the key trade association serving the interests of over 500 businesses in Singapore’s shipping industry and other sectors allied to the industry, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Secretariat office. In his role, he will champion members’ interests by engaging key stakeholders through various industry working groups and committees to harmonize relations and priorities between the Shipping community and Government regulators and agencies.
Prior to joining SSA, Mr Loh brings over 25 years of experience in the maritime and logistics sectors, with an extensive track record in both local and international markets. His broad expertise spans the entire supply chain, including liner shipping, oil tanker operations, ship agencies, as well as 3PL and forwarding services. This depth of experience allows him to bring a comprehensive and well-rounded perspective to his new role.
A significant portion of Chun How’s career was spent abroad, with 17 years of overseas assignments in key global markets. His ability to successfully navigate complex environments and build robust international partnerships has earned him recognition as a global leader in the maritime industry.
Chun How is eager to contribute to SSA’s vision of serving its members, enhancing Singapore’s maritime landscape, and advancing the global shipping industry.
Mr Loh holds a Bachelor of Economics (2nd Upper Hons) from National University of Singapore.
