Sir, I have just read your interesting Special Report on supply chains (The Connected Business, October 22). However, there seemed to be no mention of maritime transport, which moves about 90 per cent of global trade by volume. The illustration that accompanied the main article suggested that supply chains are principally made up of cargo movements by aircraft, helicopters and parachutes (!) but without a ship in sight.
