Mr C V Subba Rao is the ICS Board Member representing India.

He is Managing Director of Sanmar Shipping and President of the Indian National Shipowners’ Association.

On graduating from Marine Engineering College, Kolkata, he spent ten years at sea, rising to the position of Chief Engineer on merchant ships. He completed his MBA from The Open University Business School, Milton Keynes, UK in 2000, and is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad Senior Leaders program.

Mr Subba Rao is a Fellow of The Institute of Marine Engineers (India) and its incumbent President, and sits on the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee for Shipping.
