Mr. Anil Devli, a trained lawyer, has been an active member of the Indian maritime fraternity for over 20 years. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Indian National Shipowners’ Association, an organisation dedicated to advancing the interests of the Indian flag. Previously, he has held roles such as CEO, Executive Director, and President at two publicly listed Indian flag ship-owning and ship-operating companies, providing him with extensive experience in the ship-owning and operations business.
As the CEO of the Indian National Shipowners’ Association, he promotes policies and actions that encourage investment and growth in the Indian shipping industry. This involves lobbying with various arms of the Government of India, think tanks, and other organisations engaged in similar activities. He also contributes to discussions on maritime business issues in India, including ports and landside activities. He believes that the growth of India’s maritime power is crucial to India’s relevance and standing in the world and is closely linked to the development of the Indian flag shipping industry.
