Capt. Marc Nuytemans (°61) is a Strategic Advisor to Excelerate Energy
(www.excelerateenergy.com), a NYSE-listed company and a leader in
integrated LNG solutions that enhance security of energy supply. Until April 2023, he served as CEO of De Blauwe Cluster / The Blue Cluster
(www.blauwecluster.be), a maritime innovation hub mandated by the
Flemish government and bringing together more than 200 member
companies, trade associations, and knowledge institutes. From January
2009 to November 2019, he was Managing Director of Exmar
Shipmanagement N.V. and a member of the Executive Committee of
Exmar N.V. (www.exmar.be), a Belgian listed shipowning company. He has been lecturing since 2000 at the University of Antwerp (C-MAT www.cmat.be) and at the Royal Higher Institute for Defence (Belgium) on shipping and shipping management. Following an extensive seagoing career, he joined CMB nv in 1997 as Fleet Personnel Manager. In 2000, he was appointed Managing Director of the Royal Belgian Shipowners’ Association, leading the revival of the Belgian register. Capt. Marc Nuytemans also serves on the boards of several companies and an international charity.
