ICS Statement on recent media reports
The International Chamber of Shipping is aware of reports in the media that erroneously implies communication between the organisation and the Houthis.
ICS can clarify that no request was made to the organisation and there was no consultation in relation to the article or the claims in question.
ICS did not convey any such information or position to or via any Houthi officials. Furthermore, ICS has had no communication with the Houthis.
An official request for a correction and retraction from the original media source has been made.
