Anders Brodje joined the Bahamas Shipowners Association as its Manager in 2016.
Before joining the BSA, Anders Brodje held a position as Senior Coordinator of Research and Innovation at the Swedish Maritime Administration, where he was actively involved in several research and development projects, among others the pan-European Accseas, MonaLisa and MonaLisa 2.0 giving him advanced insights into the work of the IMO, EU and IALA, as well as diplomatic negotiations.
He has previously served with the Swedish Maritime Administration as Assistant Maritime District Manager as well as VTS Manager. Prior to joining the Swedish Maritime Administration he served as Commissioned Officer in the Royal Swedish Navy holding various onboard positions within the 4th Mine Warfare Flotilla and since leaving active duty he now serves as LtCdr in the Naval Reserve.
Anders Brodje is also a Master Mariner and holds a BSc in Nautical Science and a Licentiate of Philosophy from Chalmers University of Technology, where his area of research is Human Factors-aspects of VTS, focusing training of VTS-operators. He also has a background within maritime communications having once performed the evaluation testing at the launch of Inmarsat-C.
