André Kroneberg joined Gard in December 2005 as a P&I Underwriter in the Offshore and Charterers team with client responsibility in Russia, India, Africa, the Middle East and Norway. André is a Naval Architect and has a PhD degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining Gard, he worked for 10 years in the Norwegian shipping and offshore industry. In the period 2009-2013, Andre headed up the product development team in Gard at the Head Office in Norway. From 2013-2015 he was the Managing Director of Gard (UK) Limited (London). With effect from 1 January 2016, he took on his current role as Chief Underwriting Officer, Asia, responsible for all underwriting activities carried out by the Gard offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. Andre is now based in Hong Kong and since January 2022 he has had a dual role as Managing Director for Gard (HK) Limited and CUO, Asia.
