Francesco joined IMEC in 2015 as CEO of the organisation. After years of managerial experience on board, he then went onto a shore based Senior Marine HR management role at Carnival UK before spending 4 years in the LNG sector with K Line., holding responsibility of up to 12,000 seafarers from more than 50 nationalities.

Currently, aside from day to day management of the IMEC offices in Hampshire and Manila, Francesco bears plays a key role in negotiations with ITF Affiliated unions through collective bargaining, which representing the views of quality ship owners and managers. Within these agreements, there is promotion of good employment practices and high standards of training and safety on board vessels.
