Frederik Gerhardt is a naval architect with more than 20 years of international experience in ship design, hydrodynamics, and applied fluid mechanics. Educated in Germany and New Zealand, he has been responsible for establishing and developing the Wind-Powered Ships business area at RISE since 2022. In this role, he provides independent technical advisory services to shipowners, shipyards, designers, seeking to implement wind propulsion solutions. Frederik also serves on ISO Technical Committee TC 8/SC 25, where he contributes to the development of international standards for wind propulsion systems.
