Capt. Hu Bin, born in 1975, graduated from the Dalian Maritime University with a bachelor’s degree in navigation technology. He has rich experience associated with shipping industry for over 25 years. He joined Guangzhou Haishun Shipping Co. Ltd. in 1998 and ascended the ranks from cadet to captain. In 2011, he moved to Associated Maritime Company (Hong Kong) Ltd. to assist with their ship management operations. He started as the general manager of crew department, and then successively moved on to serve as the company’s Deputy General Manager and later as the Managing Director cum Assistant General Manager of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co. Ltd. He is currently executing his role as the Deputy General Manager, Chief Captain, and Safety Director of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co. Ltd., and is in charge of their tanker transportation, safety, and crew management divisions.
