John Adams is Managing Director of V.Ships UK Ltd, where he joind in 2019 most recently holding the position of Managing Director for Teekay Shipping in Glasgow and Chair of Teekay’s Operational Leadership Team.

Having joined the shipping industry over 40 years ago, John Adams joined Teekay in 1988 where he played a key leadership role during Teekay’s growth, integrating acquisitions into the expanding fleet operations.

John Adams is Chairman of Bahamas Shipowners’ Association and Vice Chair at ICS, where he, among other roles, has chaired the strategic industry Working Group focusing on meeting the IMO GHG reduction targets.

As Managing Director of V.Ships UK Ltd, John Adams key role is to strengthen the management team, being instrumental in leveraging V.Group’s new ship management operating model to deliver better results for their customers.
