Since February 2010, Ralf Nagel is Chief Executive Officer of the German Shipowners’ Association.

“Germany as one of the leading maritime nations of the world is dependent on a seemless global trade.

To create a stable and coherent international framework for the successful long-term development of the German shipping industry, we need a global organisation like ICS that sets the international agenda for the global shipping industry, that mediates political bargaining, providing a place for political initiatives and acting as catalysts for a coalition-formation with maritime partner nations.”
