Sanjam Sahi Gupta is Director for Sitara Shipping Ltd.She is an advocate for gender diversity in maritime.

She is a founder member of Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) India creating a platform for women in maritime in India.

She’s a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the World Maritime  University based in Malmo, Sweden.

In May 2018, she was the recipient of the Sandvik Gender Award –for her outstanding contribution and commitment to gender equality.

In June 2019 she was invited as part of a Hig- Level panel initiative by The Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg for a Sustainable Ocean Economy,

She is also part of the Diversity Committee of the International Chamber of Shipping.

She is a gender expert empanelled by the UN ESCAP and International Maritime Organization and is committed to driving change for a more inclusive maritime industry.
