Mr. Thanos Theocharis joined IRI’s Piraeus office in June 2007 as a Vessel Operations Manager, after working in a Cruise Company since 2001 as a Marine Superintendent. He was promoted to Regulatory Affairs European Liaison in 2009 and in June 2022 to Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs. He has extensive experience representing the Republic of the Marshall Islands since 2009 at various IMO and ILO meetings, actively participating in the development of numerous MARPOL and SOLAS amendments and codes.
