Protectionism in Maritime Economies Study: Summary Report
International Chamber of Shipping presents the summary of a global trade study which outlines the protectionist trade policies being implemented by governments worldwide.
46 maritime nations, accounting for the vast majority of the global economy, were analysed in the study. The report presents highlights from the study and introduces the Protectionism in Maritime Economies (PRIME) score, based on factors such as management and licensing rules, government integrity and tariffs, that allows general comparison by aggregating the different measures of a country’s trade policies.
