The International Chamber of Shipping hosted a webinar on ‘Ballast Water Management Systems – Navigating the Challenges’ on the 12 March 2025.

The webinar focused on what are the upcoming important changes to ballast water regulations that industry should be aware of in order to adapt and be best prepared? The panel of experts represented shipowners, flag States and Class – bringing together different perspectives on ballast water management system matters to better understand the challenges of various stakeholders.

The panel included John Arnesen, Vetting Manager – DPA/CSO at Utkilen AS, Myung-Baek Shon, Principal Surveyor in the Marine & Ocean Equipment Team at Korean Register, Manoj Subramanian, Senior Marine Advisor – Technical, International Chamber of Shipping, Thanos Theocharis, Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs at IRI/The Marshall Islands Registry and Yvan Vlamickx, Managing Director at Fast Lines Belgium. The webinar was moderated by Katerina Dimitropoulos, Communications Manager at the International Chamber of Shipping.
