Support Helplines Poster for Seafarers Impacted by Conflict in the Middle East
The shipping industry remains deeply concerned about the human impact of ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and is deeply troubled by reports of some seafarers being killed whilst working on board ships travelling through the Strait of Hormuz. Geopolitical instability puts seafarers at risk and inevitably impacts upon crew mental health and stress.
ICS places great value in ensuring that seafarers are aware of the support networks available to them as they face challenging circumstances such as these, and building from previous coordinated industry initiatives to disseminate contact information of welfare support services in times of crisis, ICS is supporting renewed efforts by charity stakeholders to ensure that companies and crews have access to the most up-to-date support helplines.
A newly updated poster is available to download for free today.
