In 2002, Mr. Anders Østergaard, co-founded oil and shipping group, Monjasa, which today ranks among the world’s 10 largest marine fuel suppliers.
By emphasising strong personal relations and engaging with local shipping communities, Monjasa services shipowners, charterers and operators in more than 800 ports worldwide. With a fleet of some 30 vessels, Monjasa has reached prominent positions in hard-to-reach markets across West Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
The Monjasa Group consists of more than 30 companies with a total revenue of USD 5.5 billion in 2022 – equivalent to 6.4 million tonnes of fuel products supplied.

Mr. Østergaard serves as Group CEO in Monjasa and Secretary General and Board Member of the Emirates Shipping Association.
