Jórun Gardar is Head of the Faroe Islands National Association Secretariat. Before joining Shipowners of the Faroe Islands in 2019 she worked for the Faroese Employers´ Association and acquired extensive knowledge about the labour market in Scandinavia.

Jórun holds degree as Cand.merc.kom. from Copenhagen Business School, which she complemented by university courses relating to the labour market and courses on finance.
