Turloch is program owner of S&P Global’s market-leading Port Performance Program and its associated datasets and insight products.  The role involves leading the development of innovative datasets and analytics for a unique level of visibility and insight into global container port performance.    He is regularly invited as an expert speaker at industry conferences and in 2019 addressed the Box Club meeting of the CEOs of the world’s largest global shipping lines.

Turloch is head of the S&P Global Market Intelligence team that founded and produces the annual high-profile World Bank / S&P Global Container Port Performance Index, a comparable performance index of global container ports based on empirical data.

He worked previously for the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a subject matter expert and product manager focused on global air cargo rules compliance.  He has worked on supply chain and trade-related research projects with a variety of top tier consulting firms, multinational corporations, and financial institutions.

Turloch holds a graduate degree in Communications and master’s degree in International Law and Economics.
