The Shaping the Future of Shipping Summit, hosted by the International Chamber of Shipping and CONFITARMA, the Italian Confederation of Shipowners, brings together leaders from shipping, government and international organisations to address security of supply chains against a backdrop of global geopolitical instability. Focussing on supply chain diversification and security and initiatives to build more resilient and sustainable supply chains, the discussion, held under the Chatham House Rule will explore the emergence of regional economic corridors, such as the India, Middle East, Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and the partnerships that should be forged to ensure energy and food security and deliver economic growth.

The Summit is held under the patronage of the European Commission in Italy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Civil Protection and Maritime Affairs.

The Venue

The Shaping the Future of Shipping Summit will be held at the historic Palazzo della Cancelleria. Built between 1485 and 1513, the palace is recognised as an important early Renaissance architectural masterpiece and features frescos painted by Giorgio Vasari in just 100 days and an intricate three-story courtyard built using ancient Roman columns. Located in the historic centre of Rome, the Palace operates as an extra-territorial property of the Vatican.
