Zero Emission Shipping Fund – Accelerating the Transition to Net Zero

In advance of the next round of GHG negotiations at IMO, ICS will explain its comprehensive proposal for a Zero Emission Shipping Fund (ZESF), co-sponsored by the Governments of Bahamas and Liberia, to implement IMO's net zero goal for international shipping. The presentation will showcase the ICS prototype for an IMO contribution and reward (feebate) system based on CO2e emitted annually by ships and/or prevented by the use of zero and near-zero GHG fuels.
