These include industry associations, business, academia. This enables us to include a wide range of perspectives in both our policy and technical work – which is why ICS views are widely respected within the industry and far beyond.

Ocean Technologies Group
Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research
The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research was founded in 2000 to conduct cutting edge, interdisciplinary research, and provide a conduit between scientists and policymakers. With nearly 200 members ranging from PhD researchers to Professors, from the Universities of Manchester, East Anglia, Cardiff and Newcastle, the Tyndall Centre represents a substantial body of the UK’s climate change expertise from across the scientific, engineering, social science and economic communities.
Blue Sky Maritime Coalition
The Blue Sky Maritime Coalition recognises the need to address global climate change and is committed to accelerating the transition of waterborne transportation in Canada and the United States toward net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Through focused Workstreams, the Coalition will : • Facilitate collaboration among industry stakeholders regionally and globally • Identify, evaluate, encourage and engage in commercial and technical pathways and projects that deliver significant near-term reductions in GHG emissions and lead to commercially viable net-zero emissions
International Maritime Pilots’ Association (IMPA)
IMPA represents the international community of pilots. IMPA use the resources of their membership to promote effective safety outcomes in pilotage as an essential public service.
International Organisation of Employers (IOE)
IOE is the sole representative of business in social and employment policy debates taking place in the ILO, across the UN, G20 and other emerging forums.
International Federation of Ship Masters’ Associations (IFSMA)
Established in 1974 to uphold International Standards of Professional Competence for Seafarers, IFSMA is a Federation with a policy to ensure Safe Operational Practices, Preservation from Human Injury, Protection of the Marine Environment and Safety of Life and Property at Sea.
Chemical Distribution Institute (CDI)
CDI is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven individuals nominated by the participating chemical companies. CDI's Board of Directors establishes their policy and is responsible for overall affairs of the foundation. Individual Executive Boards are elected to oversee and direct the staff managing day to day activities for the Marine, Terminals and Marine Packed Cargo Schemes.
Comité Maritime International (CMI)
The “Comité Maritime International” is a non-governmental not-for-profit international organization established in Antwerp in 1897, they contribute by all appropriate means and activities to the unification of maritime law in all its aspects.
Comité International Radio Maritime (CIRM)
CIRM exists to promote the application of electronic technology to the safety-of-life at sea and efficient conduct of vessels, facilitating productive relationships between all stakeholders concerned with electronic aids to marine navigation, communications and information systems.
