In addition to our national members and IMO and ILO as regulators for shipping, ICS works closely with intergovernmental organisations (IGOs) and a wide range of partners listed below. These include industry associations, business, academia. This enables us to include a wide range of perspectives in both our policy and technical work – which is why ICS views are widely respected within the industry and far beyond.

As one of the important shipping organizations in the world, ASA consists of seven members from the shipowners’ associations of Asia Pacific nations, i.e. Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei and Federation of ASEAN Shipowners’ Associations (FASA), consisting of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
ISOA is the international trade association for owners/operators of support vessels in the offshore industry. ISOA’s main focus is in the sector of Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) and Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS), albeit our members also operate a variety of other vessel types.
